The theater building, which is still played today, was built more in 1831 by the Town of Trnava. On its facade is still a Latin inscription: Isthanc aedem Thaliae po suit senatus ac popolus Tirnaviensis (This house of Thalia was built by the Senate and the people of Trnava). The Trnava Municipal Theater building, which is considered to be the oldest preserved building of its kind in Slovakia, has undergone several external and one internal reconstruction.

The theatre continues to seek new impulses and establishes collaborations with top local and foreign artists. Every month it brings a rich selection of theatre performances (local and hosting), which is complemented by a varied off-theatre programme: creative workshops, an open day, talk show In front of the curtain, theatre tours and much more.

The theater offers following spaces for rent.
